I’ve been wanting to be more consistent with my blog posts but they have been few and far between. My coach Sage Grayson shared a challenge called “Write for 31 Days” that might help me get back on track.
I checked it out and found out there was a t-shirt involved and who doesn’t like a new t-shirt. So here I am…Day #1.
Oh, and I had to come up with a theme. I didn’t want to cook anything different for 31 days or try a new exercise (bite your tongue) for 31 days or take 31 animal pictures for posting. I could’ve made lists like 31 reasons why the Steelers might be in trouble without Big Ben or 31 delicious red wines (I would’ve had to sample those and that could’ve been messy) but I wanted to follow the K.I.S.S. rule (keep it simple stupid..or sweetie). So I decided on simple self-care. We all need it and many of us don’t do it consistently if at all.
Over the next 31 days, I will be sharing simple self-care ideas that you can add to your self-care tool kit. The goal is to give readers some new ideas for things they can do to refuel and re-energize their minds, bodies and souls on a consistent basis instead of waiting until their proverbial pitcher of sanity is completely empty and crashing and burning. I know..not a pleasant thought.
I hope you find my simple tips useful and please feel free to share some of your tips as well. We can all learn from each other.
Today’s tip is “Start where you are.” You don’t have to make an appointment or schedule a weekend away. No supplies necessary. Do you have to commute somewhere today? Will you be alone for at least 5 minutes somewhere, sometime in the next 24 hours? Come on…I know you will be. Make the most of those 5 minutes. No radio, no phone, no e-mail. Just silence. And a big deep breathe. That’s it. You are breathing anyway, right? Go for it. That’s simple self-care. Boom! Done!
Until tomorrow…

Thanks Dacia! It doesn’t take much time to regroup. 🙂
