Yesterday I wrote about beginning your self-care where you are..nothing fancy..no spa appointments required. I told you to just breathe. Easy. You should be doing that anyway.
Today I would like to share an older post that I wrote about the benefits of having a good old-fashioned cry. That’s self-care too. You are releasing stress and toxins and cleansing your soul. It’s fabulous and inexpensive (you just need tissues). As women, we think we need to be strong for everyone. Crying might show that we are weak or we can’t handle it all. Guess what? It’s not healthy to “handle it all” every moment of every day. Sometimes you just gotta let it all out and regroup. I do it myself. I highly recommend it.

I’m going to take some deep breathes and I’ll be back tomorrow with another simple self-care tip.

A good cry really does help, Cathy. I don’t like to cry in front of people (not even my husband) but I like a good cry in the shower when I’m by myself. And you don’t need need tissues in the shower! (Okay, a towel afterward.)
Looking forward to tomorrow’s tip!
Thanks Erika! Oh..I love a good cry in the shower too. It’s all about the cleansing!
