Hey there! It’s been a while. I feel like I’ve been a big old bear in hibernation.
Frank and I tried to make the most of it but it was one long couple of months.
That’s all behind us now and I kicked off April with the 2nd annual Eat, Pray, Love Yourself Retreat Weekend and it was great to do something different and be around that amazing energy that positive women bring when they come together.
Two of the women that joined us totally stepped out of their comfort zones by attending their first retreat ever. They tried new and different healthy foods and yoga and essential oils and painting! And guess what? Nothing bad happened! There was no blood shed or ambulances called. They were a little nervous at first but came with open minds and hearts and left with courage, power, new friends and some other goodies too! I am so proud of them.
You know how I love a good “stepping out of your comfort zone” story. Here’s a picture of the whole gang on our last day. We look pretty happy for how sad we were to have to head home.
My next “comfort zone” story is mine. I’ve been wanting to post a video blog but wasn’t quite sure how to do it. I don’t have 24/7 access to teenage capabilities either so I am pretty much on my own. Anywho…I googled around for some free stuff and found an easy App to use on my phone (I sound so fancy don’t I?). I made a little video and then..drumroll please…created my own YouTube Channel. Check me out. Now that I have a channel, you know there’s got to be a little YouTube show featuring moi coming to a computer screen near you. In the meantime, check out some of the “behind the scenes” action from the Eat, Pray, Love Yourself II weekend.
The next cool “stepping out” story is about my friend Roseann who loves to travel to Italy and just announced her first group tour. This is exactly what I’ve been waiting for and my passport application is waiting to be completed as we speak. If you have always wanted to visit Italy but weren’t sure where to begin, Roseann is taking care of all the the details. All we have to do is show up with our passports and money for vino (and I’m sure good walking shoes too). I’ve know Roseann a long time and she knows what she’s doing plus she’s a laugh riot. You can’t go wrong. Check out the details Best of Italy 2016
If you all might indulge me for one more minute, I have another “stepping out” story to share. If you’ve been following my blog, I’m sure you’ve heard me talk about Grete DeAngelo. She’s a friend, a coaching client and a published author. Her whole adventure to getting her first book published is a huge stepping out story in itself but her most recent leap was to update her website and start sharing her book with more people. She figured out how to create a giveaway, a new e-book and share it on Goodreads. Her book “Giving Myself Away” is a terrific read and I highly recommend it. You can find out more about Grete and sign up for her giveaway and blogs (which are inspiring and fun) by clicking right here.
A lot has been happening these last few months. What have you been up to? Are you ready for summer? Are you ready to “step out of your comfort zone”? Tell me what you would like to do? You know..when you say it out loud and share it, it takes on an energy and power of its own. Take that first step…
If you like what you’ve read here, head on over to my website for more blogs and events and we can even set up a FREE chat about how you would like to take that first step out of your comfort zone.
